Former President Trump has once again announced he would pressure FIFA to remove global soccer tournament games from a venue based on municipal governance, with Boston emerging as the most recent targeted location to face such warnings from the American leader. Moreover, Trump remarked he would contemplate similar action against Southern California for the 2028 Olympics due to perceived safety issues.

“When I perceived LA was not going to be sufficiently organized, I'd move it to another location if necessary,” Trump stated. “For the Olympics I may have to obtain a varying approval, but we will take that action.”

Any approval Trump mentioned would need to come through the Olympic governing body. The leader, Kirsty Coventry, was chosen to her post in this year and has not yet meet publicly with Trump, but she indicated that she would like a meeting with the US figure at eventually.

The former president also condemned Gavin Newsom’s handling of the blazes, stating that a similar situation could cause the removal of the event.

“In case Newsom is uncooperative, we’re gonna have to be firm,” the former president stated.

The warning was similarly direct for the Massachusetts city.

“The city should address these issues,” Trump stated. “It's I will say.”
