In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.

The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
